I'm a woman!
It's true. I often get emails and social media comments from readers saying... "Thank you, Mr. Shaw!"
It doesn't really bother me except that, to me, Mr. Shaw...is my ex-husband. LOL
And he most certainly does not deserve credit for writing my books 😋
I've always tried to write genderless narrative. Every writer's voice leeks into their stories. It's inevitable. But I've made a concerted effort to keep my writer's voice neutral. Only because I don't like reading fluffy stuff. There's a place for that but that's not the type of stories I tend to write.
Does it matter? What do you think? For a woman to write military thrillers...is it a big deal if it's a male or female writer?
